The Wyoming Youth Resource Map mobile application ("App") is developed and maintained by Casper Youth Hub. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App.
We disclose below all types of data the App may access or collect. Our practices are minimal and privacy-focused.
Health Data access: None. The App does not access Health Connect, health sensors, or any health-related device APIs.
Health Data collection: None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any health data from users. This includes but is not limited to: health conditions, medical history, mental health status, diagnoses, treatments, medications, fitness data, or any other health or fitness information.
Usage: Not applicable — we do not collect or access health data, so there is no usage of health data.
Context: The App is a directory that displays publicly listed youth-serving resources (e.g., counseling, crisis, mental health, and substance use service providers). This is reference content about organizations — not user health data. We do not infer, derive, or collect health-related information about you based on which resources you view, save, or contact. If you voluntarily submit feedback or a resource via in-app forms, that data is processed only for the purpose you provided it (e.g., general feedback or a provider submission); we do not use it to infer health information about you.
Access: When you tap "Near Me," the App may request permission to access your device's approximate location.
Collection: None. Location data is used only on your device to sort listings by proximity. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Usage: To sort resource listings by distance on your device only. Location access is entirely optional — you may deny or revoke it at any time.
Access: Local on-device storage for resources you save as favorites.
Collection: None. This data never leaves your device.
Usage: To display your saved list within the App.
Access: The App temporarily caches resource listings (names, addresses, phone numbers, descriptions) on your device.
Collection: The App fetches publicly available listings from our API; no personal data is sent. Cached data is refreshed automatically and stays on your device.
Usage: To improve performance and offline capability. Cache contains only public directory information.
If you choose to submit feedback or a resource via the in-app forms, you may provide: name, email, phone, message text, or organization details. Collection: This data is sent to our servers only when you tap "Submit." Usage: We use it solely to process your feedback or review your resource submission. We do not use it to infer health information about you. See "Health Data" above — we do not collect health data through these forms.
The App connects to the Wyoming Youth Resource Map API (casperyouthhubmap.org) to fetch publicly available resource listings. No personal data is sent in these requests. Feedback and resource submission forms are submitted directly to our API.
When you tap external links (directions, phone numbers, websites), you are directed to third-party services (Apple Maps, Google Maps, phone dialer, web browser) which have their own privacy policies.
The App is designed to help young people ages 11–20 find resources. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users.
All data stored by the App (saved resources, cached listings) resides only on your device. Uninstalling the App removes all stored data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
